The situation:
Foie gras has been criticized by animal welfare groups for being made by force-feeding ducks and geese to fatten their livers. The importation of foie gras to Japan has also been decreasing yearly. Therefore, the company developed the product as an alternative to foie gras by utilizing chicken liver. The chicken liver is made into a paste, and the texture and flavor are made to resemble foie gras through a unique manufacturing process. Nippon Ham asked us to help with the product's launch and branding.
The solution:
Using Nipponham's new technology, the chicken liver has evolved into a rich and luxurious flavor. With its rich and smooth texture, the chicken liver has evolved into a delicious flavor, much like foie gras. Inspired by the idea of overturning the common sense of Foie Gras by aiming to create it from the effective use of limited resources, we named our product "Gras Foie" by reversing "Foie Gras".
